The Coll de Toses is located in the Ribes Valley, in the Ripollès region (Girona). It occupies the upper part of the Rigard river valley and its headwaters, running from west to east from the alpine plains of Pla de Rus and Pla d'Anyella.
It runs parallel from the Collada de Toses and the Colladetes to the vicinity of Planoles, creating contrasting landscapes between shady and sunny areas, in a route characterised by extensive plains with gentle contours at an altitude of around 2,000 metres and steep slopes in the lower part of the slopes.
