Description of the activity :
FEDA, in a new partnership with the French and Andorran embassy and the photojournalism association Visa pour l'Image, has the immense pleasure to present to you an impressive exhibition.
"The Sixth Extinction", winner of more than fifteen awards and nominated in numerous international competitions, is an exhibition of 41 photographs that aims to move and raise awareness of the great vulnerability of the animal species with which we share the planet.
Its author, the photographer Alain Ernoult, has won over a hundred awards, including a prize in the World Press Photo competition. His works have been published in the most prestigious specialist magazines and he is the author of some thirty exhibitions and 26 books.
Unlike the previous extinctions, which were triggered by natural phenomena, the sixth extinction is due to human activities and is the fastest extinction the Earth has ever known. Today, one in eight animal and plant species is threatened.
Awareness of this reality is the first step towards taking the necessary actions to preserve biodiversity, reduce our impact and live in balance with the Earth.
