Collegats-Boumort is a territory with very diverse landscapes. The protected natural areas of Collegats and Boumort are ideal for the practice of different active and nature tourism activities. It is a privileged area for the observation of fauna, as it is the only place in Europe where the four species of vultures of the continent nest: Egyptian vulture, bearded vulture, black vulture and common vulture. In addition, the large population of deer in the Boumort Reserve makes it possible to see the great spectacle of the "Berrea" in early autumn.
The territory also offers a multitude of options for active tourism. Climbing and canyoning, with the Barrancs de Sant Pere and Barrancs de l'Infern, are the king of sports in the Collegats Gorge, which offers optimum conditions. There are also several hiking and mountain biking routes through the territory, with proposals for all levels. Rafting and kayaking can also be practised in the Collegats Gorge.
Collegats-Boumort is also a land of history, legends and deep-rooted traditions. We can observe mythical places, such as the Argenteria or the Sleeping Giantess, medieval heritage, such as the Old Monastery of Sant Pere de les Maleses, or the remains of the Pallars Front in the Boumort Reserve. We can also discover the Diada dels Raiers and learn how wood was transported along the river in ancient times.
