To talk about the Alt Pirineu Natural Park is to talk about greatness. The highest peak in Catalonia (La Pica d'Estats, 3,143m), the largest and deepest glacial lake in the Pyrenees (Certascan Lake) or the 360º viewpoint of the Orri peak, among others, are located in the largest natural park in Catalonia.

Part of the territory of the municipality of Sort is located in the sector of the imposing Massif de l'Orri, the southern sector of the Park which has good samples of forests, scrub and pastures of the subalpine and mountain habitats, huts and livestock areas, villages with charm, historical and cultural legacy, recreation areas and viewpoints.

From Sort you can make different visits and routes, on foot, by mountain bike or 4 × 4 to discover the most emblematic corners of any sector of the park and especially of the Massís de l'Orri sector: the Camí de la Forestal, the Verneda de Montardit, the Camí de Triago, Tour of Tornafort and Malmercat, Bosc de Tres Comuns, Bosc de Costa Negra, Vernedes riverside forest, Triago lime kiln, Recreation area and viewpoint of the Virgen de Soler, Depopulated of Pernui, Noufonts Recreation Area, Matraca Recreation Area, Mirador de Pujalt, Volta al Massís de l'Orri…
